It is well worth registering in a wedding
gift registry before your wedding.
This way you will be able to receive wedding gifts
 that
you will really use and it will also help your wedding guests
by taking the worry and guesswork out of finding an appropriate
gift for you. They will feel confident they have
gotten you something you want and need.
It's best if you can choose a registry
that is easily accessed by your wedding guests.
Most large chains have an online wedding gift registry
that can be accessed from a home computer. See our list of
gift registries below. Register at least 6 to 8 months
in advance of your wedding date, this way people
can purchase from the registry for engagement and
shower gifts before your wedding
if they wish.
Before registering make
a list of items that you really need. Make a note of your colour
scheme of your home so you can select items to go with your home
decor. Select items from all price ranges to give your wedding
guests a wide selection to choose from and then they can spend what
they want and can afford.
If items need to be shipped make sure they
will be sent directly to you. Also check the wedding gift
registry's return policy incase items need to be returned.
